Who signs this form

This film is about someone who is here to speak for themselves, so the person the film is about signs this form — not the person paying for it. Each adult featured should sign (you can send them the link). A parent or legal guardian signs for anyone under 18. By signing, you confirm that you have the right to share the photos and recordings you give us.

If this film is a surprise

People often order these as a gift and want to keep it secret. We can work that way — but we cannot make a film about someone who has not agreed to be in one.

• So if the film is a surprise, we will make it, and we will hold it. It is not delivered, shown or shared with anyone until the person it is about has signed this form.
• If they decline, we delete everything and refund you as stated in your order.
• If that does not work for you, please tell us now rather than after the work is done.

What you allow us to do

You allow Echoes of Life LLC to use the photos, videos, recordings and information provided (“your materials”) to make the film ordered, and specifically to:

• restore, repair, crop and color-correct your photographs and footage;
• enlarge a photograph of you and place it into a new setting, so that the face in the film is the face in the photograph;
• add gentle, natural motion to photographs — a breath, a blink, a turn of the head;
• add licensed music, titles and effects you approve;
• use trusted third-party processing services to do this work, under the privacy terms below.

Restoring your photographs

Old prints fade. Where the color and detail have largely gone, software cannot recover what is no longer in the paper — it rebuilds it, and where a face is small or faded, part of what it rebuilds is the face itself. In our own testing this has changed a person’s expression.

• So we offer two kinds of restoration, and we would like you to choose. Your choice is recorded below with this form.

Voice

A film can include a spoken voice. The choice is yours; you make it below and it is recorded with this form.

• We can use a real recording exactly as it is. That is always our first preference.
• We can produce a spoken line using software. It is not your voice — it is an approximation created by a computer, and it may not sound like you to people who know you well.
• Or no voice at all: music only, or words shown on screen.

If the person in the film is under 18

A parent or legal guardian must sign, and we ask the young person to agree as well where they are old enough to understand.

• We do not make personal hero films of anyone under 18.
• We do not build a likeness model of a child, for any product.

What we will not do

• Depict anyone in a sexual, demeaning, violent or misleading way, or in a way they have not agreed to.
• Place a child in any adult or suggestive context.
• Present a generated voice as a real recording. If a voice is generated, we will say so, here and on delivery.
• Use trademarked characters, brands, logos or unlicensed music.
• Share or sell your materials, or let our providers train their own models on them.
• Use your film to advertise unless you allow it below.

You approve before it’s final

We send a private preview and include up to two rounds of changes. The film is not delivered to anyone — including the person who ordered it — until you have seen it and approved it.

Privacy and deletion

We keep your materials only as long as needed to make your film, then delete them within 90 days after delivery. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time, and we will confirm in writing. We keep a copy of the finished film for one year so we can send you another copy if you lose it, unless you ask us to delete it. This signed form, and the record of your order, we keep for seven years — that is a tax and accounting requirement, and it is how we can show later exactly what you agreed to.

Ownership and use

Your photos and recordings remain yours. Echoes of Life keeps the rights it owns in its own contribution — the editing, the arrangement, the production work — and gives you a permanent, worldwide, royalty-free license to keep, copy, share and show the finished film for personal, family and non-commercial purposes. We do not claim exclusive ownership of every element: some parts are generated, and copyright may not be available for them. Music, fonts and other third-party material stay under their own licenses. Commercial use needs a separate written agreement.

Your photographs

Your photographs remain yours. You confirm that you have the right to share them with us. If a professional photographer took some of them, tell us and we will check with you before using them. Some photographs may include other people, and you confirm that you are comfortable with them appearing in this film.

Changing your mind

You may withdraw consent at any time before delivery by emailing contact@echoesoflife.ai. We will stop work, delete your materials and confirm in writing. Fees for work already completed may apply as stated in your order.

• After delivery, we will still delete everything we hold on request, and we will remove the film from anywhere we control. Copies already given to you or to the person who ordered the film are theirs to keep.
• If you have allowed us to show excerpts and later change your mind, email us and we will remove them within 10 days from anywhere we control.

Electronic signature

You agree to sign this form electronically and to receive it and related notices electronically. Your electronic signature has the same effect as a handwritten one. We will email you a copy. You may ask for a paper copy at any time.
